Relist

Relist is a refresh tool with teeth. It deletes a stale listing and posts a brand-new copy with the same content, optionally with subtly modified photos so the marketplace’s duplicate-detection doesn’t flag it.

The result: your item gets a fresh listed-date and re-enters the search feed as new content, instead of being buried by the algorithm as old stock.

When to use it

  • A listing has been live for weeks with no traction.
  • The Depop refresher and Vinted re-uploads aren’t enough.
  • You want to swap the lead photo or update wording without losing the price history showing in your shop activity.

If you just want to nudge a listing up without recreating it, use the Refresh tab instead.

How it works

For each item you select:

  1. SaleLinx reads the source listing’s title, description, price, category, condition, brand, size and photos from your cloud backup.
  2. Optionally applies photo modifications (crop, brightness or hue tweak, re-order) so the photos aren’t byte-identical to the originals.
  3. Posts a fresh listing on the same marketplace with all that content.
  4. Once the new listing is live, deletes the original.
  5. Updates your unified Listings view to point at the new ID.

This sequence is the safer order: post first, delete second. If posting fails partway, your original is still live and you haven’t lost anything.

Photo modification

Marketplaces aggressively de-duplicate listings by perceptual photo hash. SaleLinx’s photo modifier tweaks each photo just enough to break the hash without changing how the photo looks to a buyer:

  • Crop - trims a small uneven border off each edge.
  • Hue / brightness - nudges colour balance by a couple of percent.
  • Order shuffle - reorders photos beyond the first one (the lead stays where you put it for buyer recognition).

Modification is on by default. If you toggle it off, photos are re-uploaded verbatim and you may end up with a duplicate-flagged listing.

Running it

From the Listings tab:

  1. Select the rows you want to relist (single or multiple).
  2. Open the bulk-action toolbar and click Relist.
  3. Confirm the photo-modification settings (or accept defaults).
  4. Click Start.

SaleLinx queues the relists and processes them with safe pacing between items so the marketplace doesn’t flag the burst as automated activity. Progress shows in the panel; you can keep working in other tabs.

Plan and access

Available on every paid plan, including the 7-day free trial. There’s no tab-level lock. What varies by plan is your monthly relist allowance - the higher tiers raise it considerably. See the pricing page for current numbers.

If you only need a lighter visibility bump (no delete + repost), the Refresh tab is the lower-touch alternative.

Next steps

  • Refresh - the lighter-touch alternative.
  • Restocker - auto-repost when a linked item sells.
  • Dead Stock - find which listings are candidates for relisting.
